whatta day whatta night!

2 words... disastrous night.

another 2 words... disastrous afternoon.

thankfully, Jeremy comes home late tonight. Should be home just in time to help Analucia at her 1st night waking, so I can get some rest. He'll be home the rest of the week to help out.

Sadly, my lovely sleeper isn't self-soothing so well this afternoon/evening. She won't let me put her down... ARG!!!!! This may hamper sushi tomorrow with the gals..... No, No, No!!! Actually, I am not a sushi-fan, but am looking forward to my 1st sip of wine, in like..... forever!

So, the question becomes.. to supplement or not to supplement... to introduce a pacifier or not. I hope tomorrow is better... maybe Jeremy's finger may do the trick. Since neither of the above

are truly appealing options, maybe i can hide Lola under my blouse.. think anybody would notice?

dang... these chinese diver gals were good.

3 days trying to finish Atonement.. tomorrow is the day, I swear.

Off to drink some water so Grandma can be at peace.

Single Parenting

Jeremy left this morning on his business trip to KeyPort, WA- PLEASE, DON'T ASK!

So, I got to play single-mommy. Before he left, he schooled Lulu on "how to be a superstar." Basically, providing be-nice-to-Momma-rules. I'll spare all the details, but most surround the issue of letting me change her diaper, when I see fit.. and not throw tantrums at the mere mention of the phrase "change diaper." Thankfully, she listened and obliged, so we had a pretty good day, easy nap time, fairly enjoyable dinner together.... all the while Lola slept.

We spent the afternoon at Lori, Luke and Stella's house where we made "wave bottles...."and Lulu got to run around with Stephie, Maddie and Gracie - she got some of her energy out.

Today was the first time I ventured out with both babies, all by myself. What a major feat, believe me!!!! Now I sit here, watching the olympics, and the closer.. (yes, I keep switching between the two...) while eating more Vanilla Frosting... next up on the menu is ice cream. This diet is going to do wonders for my weight loss program.

I hope tomorrow was as good as today.....on the agenda manana is a LaLeche mtg, so we can figure out what to do about Lola's gnawing.

My 1st Blog

YEY!!! I am going to try to be a blogger... Why? Because i feel so sad that I am not documenting all the "little things" that transpire daily with our little familia. How the heck can I ever be expected to remember all the cute sayings, funny faces and loving moments if I am not journaling?

So today we had a great day and an "ok" night. Alessandra spent most of her night in the bassinet, except when she was given immunity to come out and eat. She was awake most of the night, but she just chilled by herself and made funny noises. I was able to sleep through it, but she kept Jeremy awake, so he kept having to touch her to mellow her out. I awoke quite refreshed. Analucia made a couple of trips into our room, and had to be escorted back by J.

Matisse and Sevilla came over today to go swimming with us. They entertained Analucia for a better half of the day, and she played so well with them in her playhouse. I caught up on the Olympics while J and my Ma watched all the kiddies.

On a sad note, I forgot that what I eat, will affect Alessandra. Jeremy went to Roberto's this morning and bought me a bean burrito. Poor Alessandra, I don't think she knows what hit her.

After all the excitement, and Lulu's cousins left with Grandma... I asked Analucia what her favorite part of her day was. She responded, "doing the laundry." Oi Vei!

Alessandra keeps sneezing.. can she be catching a cold so early in her life?
